Mosche Feldenkrais (1904-1984), a Russian-born Israeli physicist, was the creator of this technique. It is a mind and body integration, using movement to strengthen the communication between the brain and the body.
It increases awareness of bad physical habits and posture that cause strain to joints and muscles. It can improve physical and mental performance.
Feldenkrais developed over one thousand different movements or exercises.
Movements are easy, non-aerobic and do not require any straining.
This technique is popular amongst athletes and performers who enjoy improved levels of performance.
It offers the chance for improved posture, balance and co-ordination. It can reduce stress, muscle tension and alleviate chronic pain.
