General Hypnotherapy Register
Originally established following Department of Health guidelines that each separate Complementary and Alternative medical profession should have a single, central Register of Practitioners, we are now actively participating within the Joint Working Group for Hypnotherapy whose primary purpose is to bring about professional self-regulation for the industry.
General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC)
The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) acts as a link between the hypnotherapy industry and the Department of Health (DoH), who has actively encouraged the Council to continue its work towards promoting the status of Voluntary Self-regulation (VSR) for the hypnotherapy profession.
General Osteopathic Council
The GOsC: Registers qualified professionals, Sets standards of osteopathic practice and conduct, Assures the quality of osteopathic education, Ensures Continuing Professional Development, Helps patients with complaints about an osteopath
General Shiatsu Council (GSC)
The purpose of the GSC is to explore the House of Lords' Report into CAM and the willingness of the Shiatsu profession to fulfil the House of Lords' criteria in order to become a Regulatory Body. The intention of the GSC is to include as much as possible of the Shiatsu profession in its exploration and to be as inclusive and flexible in its definitions as is consistent with the nature of Shiatsu.
